Tutu Two                               

Ages 2-3. 30 minute class which includes ballet circle time and activities including parachute, musical instruments, tumbling, obstacle course etc. Very fun interactive games for two year olds while trying to introduce simple beginner dance steps !

Pre-K  Tap/Ballet/Tumbling                               
Ages 3-5.  No previous training.  Designed for our youngest dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad. Dancers will have fun learning pre-ballet movement to popular children's music . Props are used to enhance the learning experience. Class sizes are kept very small to assure plenty of individual attention for our youngest dancers.
  
Combo Class  Beginner Tap/Jazz/Ballet 
Ages 5-7.  Class focuses on getting students ready to transition from combination type classes to full hour classes in a specific style of dance. Ballet class will include more challenging barre exercises while emphasizing basic terminology. The tap portion of the class will concentrate on developing intricate patterns and rhythms, while the jazz portion of class will begin to develop student's flexibility and balance skills. There are 2 different class options and combinations of the dance styles.

Strength & Conditioning

Ages 8-12.  full-body workout to improve physical performance, build strength,endurance,and power.Designed to improve a dancer's range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase their level of core muscle strength.

​Intermediate Tap 
Ages 8-12. Intermediate. Designed to develop rhythm, style and sound.  Will focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. Emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun.

Intermediate Ballet
Ages 8-12.  . Class will emphasize barre exercises and may also include a combination of center floor work and across-the-floor combinations. Dancers will learn how to express their feelings and emotions through song in both technical movement and emotions.

​Intermediate Jazz
Ages 8-12.   Focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.

Hip Hop 

Ages 6-9- teach rhythm, coordination, musicality and choreography without suggestive music or movements. Students are challenged to think on their feet while enjoying an energetic and fast-paced dance class. Our Hip Hop dancers develop focus, strength, and agility while having fun.
Ages 8-12. Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking.  Requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements. Past dance experience required.

Advanced Tap 

Ages 13 and up.  Designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement.  Curriculum at this level is more complex and intricate.

Advanced Leaps and Turns (Jazz)

Ages 13 and up. A technique class designed to assist students in focusing on the leaps, jumps and turns that dancers perform in Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. Leaps and Turns class is a way to better your technique when executing basic leaps, center leaps, turns, and fouetté. Ballet and Jazz classes will not spend as much time focusing on Leaps and Turns and a student wishing to strengthen their skill level with these techniques are advised to take this class for better skill development. Class includes Strength and Conditioning designed to improve a dancer's range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase their level of core muscle strength. Through a variety of stretches and strengthening exercises, dancers will also increase their awareness of their own body's potential as it connects to expression through movement. Curriculum at this level is more complex and intricate and results end of year performance in jazz.

Advanced Lyrical 

Ages 13 and up.  Students will explore partnering and weight sharing exercises combined with basic techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and contemporary. It emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics while telling a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract. This level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. Class includes Strength and Conditioning designed to improve a dancer's range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase their level of core muscle strength. Through a variety of stretches and strengthening exercises, dancers will also increase their awareness of their own body's potential as it connects to expression through movement.



Technique Ballet/Strength

 Age 13 and up.  Focus on building the strength, flexibility and control needed to execute ballet moves. Each class will emphasize barre exercises and may also include a combination of center floor work and across-the-floor combinations. Class includes Strength and Conditioning designed to improve a dancer's range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase their level of core muscle strength. Through a variety of stretches and strengthening exercises, dancers will also increase their awareness of their own body's potential as it connects to expression through movement.

 

Contemporary

Ages 13 and up-  combines the strong and controlled legwork of ballet with a modern twist in the upper body. Also introduces contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation characteristic with no restrictions. Unforeseeable changes in rhythm, speed, and direction are often used. Your creativity, vulnerability and inspiration will become natural for the new dancer you'll become.
